GSM gateway – Get easy access through your mobile phone
With Prima’s GSM gateway solution it is possible to open doors or gates with your mobile phone instead of using access tags or cards. This is the ideal solution if you have several visitors who only need access to a particular location within a specific timeframe. This could for example be truck drivers who need to deliver or collect packages within a limited period of time.
The setup is simple and requires only good network coverage and a sim-card. Add the telephone number and country code to the Nova software along with the given timeframe. The user gets access by calling or sending an SMS to the number stored in the GSM gateway.
Give access from a remote location
It is also possible to provide access to others from a remote location. This is done by adding the phone number of the person who needs access and permission is then granted from a call or SMS. This is useful if a driver has been unable to come to the location within the limited timeframe. Another advantage is that there is no need to have a gatekeeper present at all times.
Receive warning messages through SMS
It is possible to connect the GSM gateway to Prima’s access control system, so that the system functions as the sender of SMS messages in case of errors. In this way the system can generate automatic text messages to specific users in case of error messages in the system. This could for example be if a lost tag is used on an online reader, if someone opens a door in a certain time period, or if a system error occurs. The warning messages can help to solve a problem even before it develops.
